From Harlem “chicken & waffles” was brought across the country to Los Angeles and founded the Roscoe’s house of chicken ‘n waffles in the mid 1970’s.

The Los Angeles food scene was unattende. The only restaurants in Hollywood were in hotels, there were no all-night restaurant, and especifically no restaurants serving chicken and waffles!

With the scarcity of restaurants In los Angeles area and the high rate of failure among them due to the fact that banks were not eager to lend money back then, however in spite of these challenges the foundation for roscoe’s chicken n’ waffles was successful!
The all-night take out restaurant started in 1976, while serving chicken and waffles has involved into a chain of restaurant s employing a great number of individuals. Roscoe’s is a meeting place for the entire family and is a household name, internationally and nationally renowned throughout the entertainment industry, political arenas and the general public at large.

It’s mentioned in major motion pictures, televisions, productions and commercial advertising. While we don’t know what the secret recipe for roscoe’s chicken, a secret that has kept customers coming back for more, year after year. We do know in addition to that, roscoe’s business support the community by participating and contributing to youth programs and projects targeting at-risk youth and this is improtant because it doesn't just show that Roscoe's is an ordinary fast food chain but that it also supports it's community by providing and helping our young youth for the future.
